We are a group of people who deeply believe that the Petri Dish belongs in the
19th century.

The Current system  doesn't work

1/10
people fall ill from a contamination
420K
don’t survive and one-third are children
9.4%
of output is lost in factories due to invisible microbes
40%
of recalls are caused by microbiological contamination

We’re building real‑time microbial detection so quality
becomes the rule, not the gamble.

OUR JOURNEY

Track our timeline of idea to factory-ready prototypes in under two years with funding, validation, and industrial partners at key steps.

January 23

Spore.Bio Founded

Spore.Bio was born in Station F in Paris, France. After that Amine left Nestlé, desperately searching for new ways of doing microbiology, he met Maxime, freshly out of Institut Pasteur. With Mohamed that had just sold Gymlib, they saw the opportunity

March 23

First POC signed

Just weeks after launching, we convinced our first industrial partners to join the adventure. This early trust allowed us to immediately dive into real-world challenges and start shaping the product around actual factory needs.

Sept 23

Spore.Bio closes its first 8M€ fundraising

Following a successful pre-seed round in May 2023, this €8M fundraising provided the resources to scale rapidly. Within months, we expanded to a team of 12 scientists and engineers focused on delivering fast, reliable microbial detection.

October 23

1st commercial contract

Our vision began to take shape as we transitioned from POC to paid industrial deployment.

December 2023

First validation study

After a year of intense R&D, our first full-scale validation study confirmed the performance of our AI model, paving the way for the first generation of prototypes.

May 2024

First prototype shipped

A major milestone. Our first devices left the lab and entered factories. With each deployment, helping our technology and team develop through hands-on industrial feedback.

August 2024

Series A

The success of our initial deployments convinced investors to back the next phase. With this funding, we launched the second generation of prototypes, scaled our rollouts, and expanded the team, reaching 30 people by June 2025.

2026
